KSW Microtec AG, one of the world’s leading suppliers of RFID components, announces that Netc has developed an integrated, customized, RFID-enabled UHF Gen2x media barcode label based on KSW’s inlay technology and the UCODE G2X ICs from NXP Semiconductors. The new Netc label can easily be interfaced with data security, data tracking and tape management systems.
“The Netc label using KSW Microtec’s customized antenna design and efficient assembly technology sets new standards in the market of HDD tape identification,” says Thomas Hitzer, CEO of KSW Microtec. “User friendliness and durability are key for us. The new label is a real leading-edge product.”
The 512-bit user memory of the NXP UCODE G2XM IC allows users to store more information on the IC than on any other Gen2 chip available on the market.
“We are pleased that Netc and KSW Microtec have selected our UCODE G2X silicon for their new media barcode labels, enabling reliable operation across very long read ranges as well as the largest user memory available on the market today,” says Jan-Willem Reynaerts, general manager, market sector RFID, NXP Semiconductors.
Netc quality assures each N·VISION RFID label before shipping to a customer. Netc patent-pending software and hardware makes it possible to read and write to a complete, integrated sheet of barcode RFID labels at one time. Netc N·VISION RFID software enables users to write VolSer and customized user data to the RFID chip. It is also possible to encrypt, password protect and lock this information for additional security. The result is a fast, more accurate and secure process for RFID labeling of tape media. The Netc N·VISION RFID solution facilitates and expedites the successful implementation of data center RFID projects. Netc N·VISION is RFID technology you can easily identify with.
