Contract with European Distribution Partner Leads to Expansion into Spain

Advanced ID Corporation (OTCBB: AIDO), a leading developer of radio frequency identification ("RFID") technology for livestock tracking, pet recovery and supply chain applications focusing on the tire management industry, today announced that its recently introduced Ultra High Frequency 500 Series RFID reader has been selected for use and successfully implemented for item level tracking at a Portuguese retailer. This is the second European contract for the 500 Series readers since the product was introduced to the market in November 2007.

The recently opened book store Byblos in Lisbon, with over 35,000 square feet of selling area, is the biggest in the country and is the first to implement item level RFID, according to Creativesystems, the official distributor of Advanced ID's RFID reader and product lines in Portugal which handled this retail contract. All shelves, books, CDs, DVDs, and other products are uniquely identified with industry standard passive RFID tags that are read at the kiosks and points of sale in a fraction of a second.

For additional functionality and consumer convenience, the user may know exactly what shelf contains the book she is looking for and may get additional information on the book and author just by approaching the kiosks. The warehouse used by Byblos is designed for maximum automation and equipped with RFID, thus maximizing efficiencies for the complete supply chain - from the warehouse to the store. The store is equipped with 60 Advanced ID ST500 readers in all points of sales and kiosks, among other high-tech appliances like 36 touch screens and 50 plasma televisions.

The Byblos project was developed and implemented by Creativesystems. Creativesystems is the leading systems integrator of retail applications of RFID in Portugal, and has already implemented RFID solutions using Advanced ID products for the textile chain Throttleman and door manufacturer Vicaima.

The introduction of the Ultra High Frequency 500 Series RFID reader establishes Advanced ID as the industry's low cost provider for a fully functioning device capable of reading and communicating with applicable RFID tags made by any manufacturer in the world. The 500 Series reader is a robust, long read range, multi-protocol UHF RFID device intended for outdoor and indoor use. It employs Advanced ID's state of the art technology combined with high performance,
reliability and ease of use. The 500 Series complies with both ETSI (Europe) and FCC (USA) registrations and supports multiple tag protocols, including ISO18000-6B and EPC class 1, Gen 2, and is upgradeable for future protocols. The unit reads tags, reads and writes user data, and has the ability to program EPC class 1, Gen 2 numbers into tags.
