Builds on high demand for RFID technology in the region
Intelleflex Corporation today announced the availability of its line of extended capability RFID products in South Korea. The past year has seen significant and growing interest in RFID-based applications in both the public and private sectors of the country’s economy. Intelleflex’s Intelligent RFID Platform will enable advanced RFID solutions in areas such as high value asset tracking, yard management, parts maintenance and reusable transport item tracking. This expansion follows the recent introduction of Intelleflex’s products into Europe, and the opening of its EMEA office there.
Intelleflex’s extended capability RFID technology is particularly well suited to challenging environments such as in applications involving large coverage areas, outdoor operations, those with metallic objects (that reflect RF energy), or liquids (that absorb it). For the South Korean market, Intelleflex engineered its products to align with the authorized frequency band used in the region.
“We are pleased to expand our offerings into the South Korean market, which we consider to be a major growth opportunity for our company in the years to come,” said Steve Smith, SVP, Worldwide Sales and Services for Intelleflex.
“The interest and investment in RFID is becoming pervasive in South Korea. We see high demand for RFID solutions in both government and commercial segments in the region,” said Y.B. Shim, Operations Manager for Rockwell Automation Korea. “We chose Intelleflex because of its strong product offerings and leadership position in extended capability RFID.”
