Webinar to show solutions using the new Zebra R4i Card Printer

Great Falls, VA – epcSolutions will be the first to provide a live demonstration of the Zebra Gen 2 RFID card printer. “The Zebra UHF RFID card printer-encoder brings a new form factor to RFID tagging solutions,” says Bill Bulzoni, Director of RFID Business Development of Zebra Technologies. “epcSolutions uses the cards for access control, student identification and membership loyalty programs.”

“Zebra, in being first-to-market with an RFID card printer/encoder, is the only hardware vendor with a complete suite of products for the ‘Internet of Things’ where RFID tags can be created for tracking virtually any asset in an organization,” states Kevin Kail, CEO, epcSolutions. “This is a transformational product because of its excellent performance, deep functionality and clean, easy-to-use design – plus it has all of the quality and reliability we have come to expect from Zebra.”

The Gen 2 RFID cards can be used in various different applications. Some examples are:

FixedAssetManager™ utilizes the Gen2 RFID cards for items such as returnable totes and storage boxes for file or document management. FixedAssetManager™ is a technology platform that uses RFID or barcodes for asset management. FixedAssetManager provides an efficient, inexpensive method to track fixed asset inventories of capital equipment, computers and furniture

TetraGate™ utilizes the Gen2 RFID cards to identify people and provide access control and is the most advanced RFID and biometric access control system available today providing solutions for tailgating and buddy badging. TetraGate™ provides human access control, increasing the security of products during distribution by combining UHF RFID technology inside an employee ID card with biometric facial recognition.

TetraGate Lite™ recently deployed for a student tracking system with over 5000 Gen2 RFID cards for students moving in and out of school buildings. TetraGate Lite™ provides the same RFID identification technology as TetraGate2, but without the biometric facial recognition. TetraGate Lite utilizes the Gen2 RFID cards to identify the movement of people in and out of any location.

WorkInProcessManager™ applying Gen2 RFID cards to manufacturing bins and tracks where things are at what state they are in real time without manual intervention. The solution provides a flexible, inexpensive tool to track work in process from raw materials to finished goods. WorkInProcessManager takes advantage of the serialization of RFID to provide complete life cycle history of everything that occurs to items as they advance through their normal work process.

RFIDTagManager™ allows Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Best Buy and DOD suppliers to easily meet latest RFID requirements for tagging products being sent to RFID enabled locations as well as creating the DoD required electronic Wide Area Work Flow documents for those transactions. Through point-and-click wizards, RFIDTagManager allows suppliers to setup and configure their RFID hardware and then print and encode compliant RFID labels. RFIDTagManager utilizes Gen2 RFID cards on returnable pallets used to ship tagged goods to Wal*Mart and the DoD.
