iDTRONIC, a supplier of RFID hardware solutions, introduced two new RFID Industrial Reader/Writers "Bluebox" for reading and writing of both LF and HF Transponders.
iDTRONIC's "Bluebox" industrial reader/ writers are specially designed for industrial environments. They resist temperatures up to 55? C and are completely sealed (IP65 Sealing) against dust and water.
This practically ensures reliable operation in nearly any harsh environment, from the warehouse to the yard and beyond. The robust CE-approved housing guarantees high functionality and performance under the most tough conditions.
iDTRONIC's Read/Write device has two digital inputs with optical insulation and two digital output (relay) ports. The readers may be used with RS232, RS485 and/or Ethernet interfaces.
The maximum power consumption with the RS232 and RS485 versions is 150mA and with the Ethernet it is 400mA. The Interfaces support firmware upgrades and remote configuration.
The reader/writers are able to store up to 30,000 tags, which can be pre programmed with specific IDs based on customer requirements. The Bluebox is designed to help enterprises gain competitive advantage with the ability to read tags even in dense RF environments. Three programmable Multi-Colour LEDs and one Buzzer allow intuitive interaction of the Application with the reader/writer.
The 125 kHz version of the modern "Bluebox" Reader/Writer supports all EM 4100, 4550, NXP Hitag 1/S and Atmel Temic 5567. It is available with 5 different external antennas for Proximity and Mid-range applications. Depending on tag type and antenna configuration, it is possible to obtain reading distances of up to 30 cm. Four different industrial antennas are available for reading ranges from 100mm up to 300mm.
The ISO 15693 version of the new Industrial Reader/Writer is a high-performance HF reader operating at 13.56MHz. The supported transponders for this version include ISO15693, ISO14443A/B and the MIFARE family. Two different external antennas for Proximity and mid-range applications are available, which enable a reading distance of up to 23 cm.
