iDTRONIC Announces UHF Long Range Gate Starter Kit

Leading RFID hardware vendor, iDTRONIC, recently introduces its UHF Long Range Gate Starter Kit

The UHF Long Range Gate Starter Kit includes the high-performance iDTRONIC UHF Long Range Reader / Writer, four circular polarized antennas (A1 type), two stands, all required mounting equipment and cables, as well as a full Software Development Kit on CD-ROM.

The new UHF Reader/Writer Device is a high-performance reader (R/W) based on Intel's latest R1000 transceiver and can be configured with any frequency between 860 and 960 MHz. This makes it usable in Europe, US and even Japan. It also has also a software programmable RF Power supply (up to 2W RF) and multi-colour LED indicators.

The versatile and robust Long Range Reader is capable of reading tags that conform to EPC Generation Two (Gen2) and ISO 18000-6 B/C standards. It allows read distances of up to 10 meters and is field-upgradeable for future protocols. Easy and fast firmware upgrades may be made via the USB Interface. Thanks to its robust high strength and resilient extruded aluminium enclosure, it can resist temperatures of up to 60? C.

A four channel Multiplexer is integrated in the UHF LR Reader/ Writer. The software control of the antenna outputs makes it possible to use the system in many different configurations. As a result, it is easy to adapt this device to a wide variety of applications, including asset management, baggage handling, container & pallet tracking, item-level inventory management and warehouse logistics.

The UHF Reader/writer is a multi-protocol, multi-regional UHF RFID device. Advanced features include the support of Dense Reader Mode (DRM) and Listen Before Talk. Its Anti-Self Jamming (ASJ) technology allows deployment of several readers simultaneously in a Multi-Reader Environment.

iDTRONIC's UHF long range antenna A1 is a circular polarized high performance device which allows the user to read the tags in multiple 3D orientations. It covers both European and US RFID bands, is entirely waterproof and very easy to install.

The iDTRONIC UHF-Long Range Gate SDK is specially configured for developing UHF Long Range applications. The Starter Kit is a complete solution including all required hardware and software, with tools and drivers for Windows and Linux, demo applications and source code. It includes full developer support, available at any time and for any question.

NXP and Bibliotheca Offer Longlife RFID library Solution
