Transferring digital photographs from phone to photo frame is now as simple as touch. Near Field Communications (NFC) has revolutionised the way we transfer images from one device to another with the new Parrot Specchio by Martin Szekely digital photo frame incorporating Innovision Research & Technology's Topaz NFC tag.
Designed by contemporary French artist, Martin Szekely - widely acknowledged as a 'master of minimalism' - the Parrot Specchio frame is both stylish and practical.
The Topaz tag, built into the front of the frame, enables an instant connection between mobile phone and photo frame, removing the need to go through time-consuming menus and settings and allowing immediate configuration with NFC and transfer of photos via Bluetooth. The frame can also pair with other Bluetooth devices such as laptops, although without NFC users will still need to go through menus to pair up.
The Parrot Specchio frame has a unique design, becoming a mirror when it is turned off and reverting back to being a photo frame when turned on. It allows users to share more than just photos, and can be used for transferring and displaying all sorts of visual information, including recipes, to-do lists, children's drawings or in fact anything that people want to share. Users can store up to 1,500 pictures and unlimited practical information.
Innovision's tag, developed by the British short-range data communications (RFID and NFC) specialist, is renowned for its memory size, low-cost and flexibility across a wide range of NFC applications and is already integrated into Parrot's PARTY Black Edition speakers - the first commercialised speaker system to use NFC technology.
