Avalanche SE 4.8 Adds Web-Based Functionality and Enhanced Usability and Reporting Features
Wavelink Corporation today announced the immediate availability of Wavelink® Avalanche Site Edition™ (SE) 4.8, a full-featured mobile device management solution that is ideal for small to medium-sized businesses. This version of Avalanche SE™ introduces new features that enhance the management, usability and reporting features of the management console.
Wavelink Avalanche SE delivers a comprehensive device management solution that enables administrators to configure, deploy, secure and manage all their mobile devices from a central console. In addition to streamlined device management, Avalanche SE also provides automated out-of-the-box provisioning, centralized management and increased security for mobile devices. It provides broad support for devices from multiple vendors that encompass all types of mobiles devices including legacy DOS-based devices, ruggedized handhelds, wireless printers, barcode scanners, RFID readers and other embedded OS devices.

With Avalanche SE, users receive the full device management functionality of Avalanche Mobility Center™ (MC) but without the complexities added by wireless infrastructure management and distributed architecture that are often only required by larger enterprises. As their needs grow, customers who purchase Avalanche SE with Wavelink’s maintenance plan (Customer Care) may upgrade to Avalanche MC™ at no cost.
