3M Track and Trace Solutions announces the release of the RFID Tracking System V3.0, offering the most significant functional enhancements to its RFID software since its initial release in 2003.
File Tracking Software V3.0 will give users a number of valuable improvements, bringing new functionality to 3M's RFID tracking solutions.
Compatible with the Vista operating system, the upgrade works cooperatively with the latest generation of RFID hardware and software. Additionally, new web-based locating and reporting abilities allow users to access the system with computers that have a web browser.
"V3.0 maintains all the functionality of our previous software, and adds to it with robust new capabilities," said Erik Johnson, marketing development manager, 3M Track and Trace. "Combined with our latest ISO RFID tag and model 210 RFID reader pad, the software enhancements make the 3M RFID tracking system even more versatile and efficient for users."
The system's new web-based functions help extend its reach to a client's entire staff, wherever they are located. The ability to enable a wider reach for the system offers new possibilities for its visibility and management. The RFID Tracking System V3.0 provides configurable, real-time alerting features, helping to save users' time when locating valuable assets, such as legal or military files, and increase the system's utilization. Features such as email notifications and custom alerts help users quickly locate and manage assets. Additionally, the web-based reporting abilities allow users to easily generate lists of items checked in and out, as well as access custom reports designed by 3M. With options to export data in PDF, CSV and Excel formats, V3.0 can enhance interoffice communication, productivity and workflow.

V3.0 will be available August 1, 2009 to all new and existing 3M customers.
