Omni-ID recently announced a strategic collaboration with ODIN Technologies to provide IT asset tracking solutions to the U.S. State Department of State. The companies' RFID technology collaboration has seen customer success with a 10,000 unit order from the U.S. Department of State to tag mission-critical IT assets.
The Omni-ID and ODIN packaged RFID solution for the U.S. Department of State is comprised of the Omni-ID Flex tag for a tracking method that is secure, easy to deploy and achieves ROI more quickly than the use of bar codes or disparate RFID products. The Omni-ID Flex provides high-performance RFID tag identification in metallic or non-metallic environments with a low profile and a read range of more than 16 feet.

After an extensive search and testing process on a number of RFID options, the U.S. Department of State selected the Omni-ID/ODIN offering based on the companies' wide-ranging combined experience and the completeness of their passive UHF solution.
In addition, Omni-ID and ODIN are collaborating to provide RFID solutions to customers in the aerospace and defense, government, healthcare, oil and gas and IT data center markets. Omni-ID and ODIN are also working together on new industry solutions for maximizing the recently introduced suite of Omni-ID tags, which are specifically targeted to the manufacturing and transportation/logistics industries and include a passive RFID tag that reaches never-before-seen readability up to and beyond 100 feet.
