Ubisense is pleased to announce that Peter Batty is rejoining the organization as VP of Geospatial Technology.
Peter is well known as a leader within the geospatial industry. Formerly the CTO of two of the top three geospatial software companies, Intergraph and Smallworld, he was also a co-founder and CTO of Ten Sails, the company that provided early stage funding to and later merged with Ubisense. Peter will be leading Ubisense's strategy in geospatial consulting, and driving strategic business development efforts in RTLS.
For the past several years, Peter has invested considerable time working with the new generation of web mapping tools, and has spoken and written extensively about how these promise a revolution in the geospatial industry.
Peter says "I am excited about the opportunity to help Ubisense and its customers develop their future geospatial strategy in the light of the very rapid changes we are seeing in the industry today. Both GIS and RTLS customers can benefit from the new generation of geospatial tools and techniques".
Richard Green, CEO of Ubisense adds, "We are delighted that Peter is rejoining the business during this pivotal stage in our development. His vision and excellent communication skills bring immediate benefits to our customers and partners."
