Flexo-Print GmbH (TagItron) announces joint venture with Rako Security-Label GmbH and introduces the first 3D-RFID-Transponder
TagItron, a leading manufacturer and supplier of RFID special transponders and components, and Rako Security-Label GmbH, a leading supplier of printed labels and Smart Labels, have announced a joint venture for the production and distribution of a new 3D ultra high-frequency (UHF) transponder, “Xtreme”. This marks the beginning of a large-scale programme of cooperation between TagItron and Rako that targets market penetration of TagItron’s innovative 3D UHF technology. It also marks the progression of their long-standing business relationship to a formal partnership.
This collaboration offers advantages to both parties: TagItron is a market leader in possession of outstanding and innovative development concepts. In addition, Rako possesses manufacturing expertise and production technologies, retaining high global market share in RFID product identification pertinent to – among others – beverage crates, plastic containers, textiles, wooden pallets and the furniture industry.
TagItron’s new “Xtreme” tag permits the economical implementation of RFID applications, virtually impossible to effect using conventional UHF designs. The company’s new 3D UHF RFID technology, resulting from its collaboration with Felix Schoeller Supply Chain Technologies (SCT) GmbH & Co. Limited Partnership, offers an ideal platform for global acceptance, since insertion, for instance in a drilled or injection-moulded cavity, can be carried out easily and reliably, allowing for transient errors.
