SkyeTek Introduces Security Solution for RFID Tags

Unlike many RFID reader offerings rely on tag manufacturers to provide security for RFID tag memory, Westminster, Colorado based SkyeTek introduces advanced RFID readers that implement security onto generic tags. The solution allows customers to switch RFID tags without finacial penalty. The results are immediate cost savings as well as long-term investment protection by allowing customers to switch tags without penalty.

According to SkyeTek, this solution allows original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and product designers to control their own security requirements and achieves the highest level of security in the industry while maintaining the lowest cost for customers.

NXP and Bibliotheca Offer Longlife RFID library Solution

The world leading RFID Transponder IC vendor, NXP Semiconductors, recently announced that Max Planck Institute for European History of Law will be the first to implement its long-term RFID asset management systems.

The institute is internationally renowned German research institution and will now begin to rollout a new RFID library solution for its archive of 320,000 assets.
