Components of a RFID systems

A basic RFID system consists of three components:
  • an antenna or coil,
  • a reader systems) including a transceiver (with decoder), that is regulating the communication interface,
  • a transponder/tag/smart label/smart card (generally known as RF transponder), that is electronical programmed with unique data.
