Innovative RFID Tracking Technology within millimeters for medical and industrial applications

The amedo Smart Tracking Solutions GmbH developes, manufactures and sells innovative tracking- and navigation systems based on RFID technology. The company uses specific RFID hardware such as reader, multiplexer, antennas and accessories suitable for tracking.

Core element of the new tracking products is the patented PRPS (Passive RFID Positioning System) technology, which allows tracking and identification of passive RFID tags in a three dimensional environment. The position determination of RFID tags is done in real time within the UHF frequency range 868/915 MHz. This technology has a wide range of applications in healthcare as well as in the industrial sector.

The product portfolio of the amedo Smart Tracking Solutions GmbH covers all the necessary components for real-time positioning using passive RFID tags. The products are exclusively for the UHF frequency range and have a spatial working range of several meters. In particular these are:

RFID Reader:
UHF RFID reader according to DIN ISO18000-6C (EPC Gen2) and are suitable for medical applications according to DIN ISO60601. The frequency range is from 840MHz to 960 MHz.

Antennas and RFID tags:
Selection of suitable antennas and RFID tags depending on customer-specific application.

Tracking Server:
FPGA based real-time tracking server with different possible interfaces (RS232, LAN, WLAN, USB). The communication between the tag and the system provides both the tracking data as xyz and the identification information. Maximum of 2 watts ERP. The system is scalable.
