Multicard, a supplier of credential solutions, identity management and system integration services and a business unit of Identive Group, Inc., announced it has implemented a new fuel card program for Neumann Petroleum, a privately owned oil company based in Queensland, Australia. To date Multicard has rolled out the payment system to 130 locations throughout Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. The credit-based fuel cards are used by long-distance trucking fleets and individual consumers alike and can be used to purchase fuel and other items.


Hypercom Corporation announced that SecuTrans Bank Card Service, a credit and debit card merchant service provider in Canada, has selected and will deploy Hypercom’s Optimum countertop and mobile payment systems with SPOS32 MSR/EMV software application to its merchant customers. Hypercom’s systems replace an incumbent provider’s product and were selected in head-to-head competition with other global payment providers. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Hypercom Corporation announced that its next generation M5000 mobile payment terminal has achieved PCI PTS 2.1 certification. The M5000 is the next generation multipurpose mobile payment system whose futureproof features will protect the investments of a broad spectrum of merchants worldwide, ranging from hotels and restaurants to taxis and delivery companies.
Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) has been awarded an international contract by the UniCredit Group for the supply of electronic payment system solutions. The three-year contract was put out to international tender and took effect on January 1, 2011. G&D will be a UniCredit group-wide strategic partner for providing the full spectrum of modern payment cards, including dual-interface cards, as well as comprehensive payment services. The UniCredit Group is an internationally active financial institution and one of Europe’s biggest banks, with 160,000 employees.
