F&F Clothing at Tesco rolls out RFID Technology (Image: Tesco PLC)U.K. retailer Tesco has partnered with Nedap to supply RFID readers for its large-scale technology deployment across F&F clothing in 550 stores throughout the United Kingdom.

Following a successful tender process including a pilot phase, Nedap was selected to supply the fixed RFID readers for goods receiving and tracking the in-store merchandise movements.

Shoe retailer De Wolky Shop has rolled out Store !D, the RFID solution from Nedap Retail, to eliminate 'no sale' in its shops and webshop as it takes stock of its products more frequently and more accurately. After the successful implementation of an "RFID Experience" in two shops over a period of twelve weeks, whereby the stock accuracy rose from 84% to 98%, De Wolky Shop has decided to roll out the system in all its shops in the Netherlands and Germany.

Fashion Retailer C&A Extends RFID Project to 25 Stores in Germany

After the successful test of RFID in five stores in Germany, C&A now extends the pilot project to improve its supply chain to 25 stores in Germany. “Having made quite positive experiences with RFID technology in the five initial test stores, we will now extend the project to further improve technical and organizational aspects based on a larger number of stores before considering a broader rollout. Using RFID technology we aim to further optimise our supply chain processes in the interest of both our customers and our employees,” is how Thorsten Rolfes, company spokesperson of C&A, explained the company’s objective.
