Electronic Arts today formalizes the nomadic variant of Apex Legends, which will respond to the cute name Apex Legends Mobile. Like a Call of Duty Mobile or a Fortnite, to name just a few, this version for our smartphones and tablets was specially developed for touchscreens with simplified controls and special optimizations.
Apex Legends will also be launched in the mobile version
With Apex Legends Mobile, Electronic Arts wants to offer a brand new game while remaining true to the original work. A distinction that means that the two versions of Apex Legends (Mobile and Classic) won’t allow you to cross-play like other games.
The first regional beta tests of this new Apex Legends Mobile will begin later this month and promise to “mark the beginning of a new era of battle royale on mobile”. The limited beta will initially affect a few thousand players in India and the Philippines before rolling out to more territories over the next few months.
Obviously EA does not intend to ditch the console and PC versions of Apex Legends in favor of this future mobile version, and players can continue to receive regular updates, with new content of course. Electronic Arts also released a new trailer for “Histoire des Terres Sauvages” a few hours ago, which is scheduled to be available on May 4th.
Also, keep in mind that the Apex Legends game came out on Nintendo Switch a few weeks ago. It took more than two years for the game signed with Respawn Entertainment to fall onto Nintendo’s hybrid console.
