Tonight was the Spring Loaded Keynote, which allowed Apple to showcase several products, the full list of which can be found here. Among them, the company revisited its most famous computer: the iMac. The machine is therefore giving up its rounded curve format to replace it with a design closer to Pro Display XDR.
The panel offers a 4.5K display that should convince many graphic designers, and seven different color variants are available in France at a price from 1,449 euros. An amount that can obviously be changed according to the options chosen, including storage capacity and amount of RAM.
The new iMac has an Apple Silicon M1 processor, the performance of which has already been highlighted in several upstream benchmarks. In fact, this component already powers the Mac mini that was released a few months earlier. There are four USB-C ports on the back, two of which are compatible with the Thunderbolt standard. And of course, it’s macOS 11 (Big Sur) that turns the beast.
To conclude, let’s add that the product comes with a Magic wireless keyboard that has now been improved with Touch ID and a shortcut to access emojis. Will you succumb Pre-orders for the duo will begin April 30th and will ship approximately two weeks later.
