Apple has been in the clouds since the launch of the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max in the final quarter of 2020. If the Cupertino company never discloses the number of devices sold annually, other elements suggest that those 5G devices have sold well.
And for those who haven’t bought these models yet, but plan to do so, there’s some good news: Apple just announced that the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are now available in purple.
This announcement was made during Apple’s Spring Loaded event on Tuesday April 20th. “The incredible iPhone 12 is the world’s most popular smartphone, and the iPhone 12 family has a customer satisfaction rate of over 99%. The new purple finish, just in time for spring, adds another bright and fun option to the range, and we believe customers will love it, ”said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of global marketing. “This gorgeous new color compliments the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini families, available in five other stunning styles. It includes an advanced dual camera system, Super Retina XDR display, enhanced durability and A14 Bionic – the smartest chip. Fast never seen in a smartphone – great battery life and the best 5G experience. “”
The purple versions of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini can be pre-ordered from April 23rd and will be available on April 30th. Apple is also announcing the availability of matching accessories for these purple models.
Apple is likely hoping the addition of this new color could boost sales of these two models (at a time when many sources suggest that the iPhone 12 mini isn’t doing very well compared to the other three models).
