A year and a half after launch, Google is adding a search bar for Stadia

The least we can say is that Stadia took up all of its time. 526 days after launch, the cloud gaming platform is finally getting a search bar. Users of the service will therefore be able to navigate a little better among the 172 games currently available. Searches can be carried out in the store, but also in the library.

That late arrival is still very welcome when we know that hundreds of new titles will be offered to subscribers this year. Please note, however, that this feature should currently only be available to Stadia users via a web browser.

The highly anticipated Resident Evil Village is located in Stadia

Other new features have also been announced for Stadia. So you will soon be able to sort your games by category. A distinction is therefore made between purchased, free, free-to-play, or titles obtained through your Stadia Pro subscription.

The platform also communicated about another novelty:

With your activity feed on Stadia, you can share your best video footage and help your friends find your game status with State Share. You can also explore other players’ content to find your next favorite game.

Finally, the service states that it will soon be possible to connect through a web browser on Android without having to use the application.

As a reminder, Stadia is far from living up to Google’s expectations since its inception. Recently, the tech giant even decided to close its in-house studios. A cold shower for many players and a very bad signal for the future.

However, the platform has promised its users a lot of new games for this year. This applies to both the highly anticipated Resident Evil Village and Hello Engineer and Farming Simulator 2. This month of May, Stadia Pro subscribers can also play Trine 4 – The Nightmare Prince for free, a puzzle game, but also on Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, a very nervous shooter who found his audience. Finally the Floor Kids music game will be there, in which we children who try their hand at breakdancing.
