An upcoming agreement with Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo?

Between Sony and Epic Games, it seems like a great story for a couple of weeks. Last month, Sony Group Corporation invested $ 200 million in the Epic Games fundraiser. The idea was to encourage them to accelerate the creation of connected social experiences based on the concept of the “metaverse” (a fictional virtual world that has grown to a large extent in the Fortnite game).

According to a confidential document, Epic Games would offer the company $ 200 million to port 4 to 6 exclusive products straight from PlayStation Studios. But that’s not all ! The American giant would also be on the trail of Nintendo and Microsoft for other equally interesting offers!

It’s once again through ResetEra that a document has been leaked around several Epic Games plans. In this document we can see that the publisher wants to offer a nice check for $ 200 million for the port of four to six exclusive PlayStation Studios products (therefore only released for PS4 and / or PS5). This offer would be “pending return” from PlayStation for the moment.

Microsoft and Nintendo – The Impossible Relationship?

It’s a little vague on the Microsoft side. Talks are currently open and according to internal feedback at Microsoft:

PC Game Pass is the leading service out there and the opposite of what Epic Games does. Microsoft is effectively bidding against Epic Games for their content. Phil (Spencer) met Gabe (of Valve, Epic Games’ competitor) several times.

The task therefore does not seem to be very easy for Microsoft. But it gets worse with Nintendo! According to the document:

The conversations did not begin; It’s kind of a target to aim for the moon. The company’s history shows that it is lost in advance

Epic Games would therefore like to get closer to the three legendary manufacturers of video games, but obviously seems to be badly connected to Microsoft and Nintendo. On the other hand, the relationship with Sony seems to be more peaceful and so it could lead to something interesting for PC gamers!
