It is confirmed that the photo expert Leica no longer works with the Chinese Huawei. A strategic partnership that began in 2016 and will end this year in 2021. Plus, Leica can now work with anyone it thinks right, and they’ve got a certain… Sharp! Indeed, the manufacturer is formalizing its new Aquos R6, a particularly amazing smartphone.

Sharp Aquos R6: 1 “sensor and 240 Hz screen!
If you’re not familiar with Sharp smartphones, it’s normal for the brand to only offer their terminals in Japan. And that’s a shame too, because the manufacturer often manages to repeat the proof with this Aquos R6, which is equipped with a very large 1-inch photo sensor with an aperture of f / 1.9 and a focal length of 19 mm to highlight. A sensor that was developed jointly with Leica and should have some excellent properties.
However, the Sharp Aquos R6 is not only distinguished by its photo area. In fact, the smartphone is also equipped with a Pro IGZO OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.6 inches that can climb at a frequency of 240 Hz! A fairly raised, curved screen, judging by the images broadcast by the brand.
Under the hood, the Sharp Aquos R6 is powered by a 5G compatible Snapdragon 888 processor paired with 12GB of RAM, not to mention 128GB of storage in UFS 3.1. There is also a large 5000 mAh battery as well as a fingerprint scanner with 3D technology, which offers an extended detection area, higher speed and guaranteed security (with the possibility of unlocking the smartphone with two fingers).
A damn running beast, hence this Sharp Aquos R6, which is due to be marketed in Japan in June at a price not yet communicated. We only know that the smartphone is offered in black and white. Now to see if this new model, like the rest of the Aquos range, is exclusively reserved for the Japanese market.
