GTA V was first launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013 and enjoys exceptional longevity as the game cannot be sold a million times in this generation. Plus, the game broke all records on the PS4 / Xbox One generation. On the Rockstar Games side, we will therefore (re) start GTA V in the absence of GTA VI, this time on our Xbox Series X and PS5, which still smell like something new.
GTA V: November 11th Xbox Series X and PS5 Versions!
In September 2020, Sony’s PS5 Showcase opened with a particularly unexpected game: GTA V. Rockstar Games actually confirmed an updated version of its game to take advantage of the brand new power of the PS5, but also the Xbox Series X. Long GTA V comes with a vague “Start in 2021” and now has a fixed and final release date on November 11, 2021.
On this day we can dive back into the heart of Los Santos in the company of Trevor, Michael and Franklin. If the PS4 / Xbox One version has already shown improvements over the game from 2013, then of course this future version promises new visual optimizations, new functions and reduced loading times.
On the Rockstar side, the bet is still considered ‘new’, a game that originally launched in 2013 and is an eternity in the world of video games. A GTA V that will therefore see a third video game career and will be adapted to a third generation console generation. You can also find our expectations of this “new” GTA V at this address.
As GTA V prepares to celebrate its eighth anniversary, it is among the bestsellers every month and year. It’s also one of the most anticipated titles for PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, by the way, and should allow Rockstar Games to sell a few million more copies and take some time before the next GTA VI is released. Note that in October we will be celebrating the twentieth anniversary of another cult game, namely GTA III.
