This week, Google used the I / O conference to launch the Android 12 beta, which users can install on other brands of Google Pixel smartphones and models. It was also an opportunity for the company to showcase a complete overhaul of the Android interface, new privacy features, and other features.
However, this conference had largely focused on software. And now Android fans are waiting for the next smartphones from Google. Typically, Google is expected to launch its new premium devices in the second half of the year.
And if we are to believe the rumors, the company would offer two models: the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro. You will find that 2021 could therefore mean the end of Google’s “XL” models.
A Pro model instead of the XL model?
Usually the two smartphones offered by Google are exactly the same. However, the XL model has a larger screen.
But this year things could be different. Not only does the Pixel 6 Pro have a bigger screen, but it also has a better data sheet.
While waiting for the presentation of these devices, which will not take place for several months, various rumors are circulating on the Internet. For example, this week the Digit.in website posted pictures of @OnLeaks (a source regularly reported by the media).

A priori, the Pixel 6 Pro should have a classic facade with an (almost) borderless screen and a bubble for the front camera. On the other hand, Google would have envisioned a new design for the back, with a horizontal strip on which the photo sensors would be positioned.
In addition, Google should achieve a significant improvement in photos and videos with the Pixel 6 Pro by equipping this model with a third sensor. Google’s Pixel smartphones rely more on algorithms than hardware and have always been satisfied with one or two sensors on the back. But with the Pixel 6 Pro there will of course be a development in this area.
And yet, according to the same source, this Pro model should have a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen. Unfortunately, there is no mention of the refresh rate of this screen. Also, @OnLeaks doesn’t say whether the Pixel 6 Pro uses a Google-designed chip instead of the Snapdragon chips as other sources suggest.
Pixel 6: a smaller and cheaper model?
In addition, the Pixel 6 should have a design almost identical to that of the Pixel 6 Pro. Even so, it would have a smaller screen. While the Pro model has three sensors on the back, the Pixel 6 would only have two.
And in addition to yesterday’s # Google # Pixel6Pro leak, here’s a more detailed look at the # Pixel6!

Finally, it should be noted that Google could bring out a third model in addition to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro: a foldable smartphone. It has been a few months since the media regularly mentioned the development of this device that would use Samsung Display’s foldable screens.
And recently, with the release of Android 12 Beta, Google may have left a little note to confirm this information. But at the moment, of course, nothing is official. Therefore, caution is always advised.
