At the center of a preference poll, the TousAntiCovid app seems to have finally found some real use. Fifteen days after the announcement of the new deconfining measures, Cédric O, State Secretary for Digital Transition and Electronic Communications, has just shared the upcoming news on TousAntiCovid with Parisian.
From June 9th, the application will include the famous health pass with the essential QR code for access to events for more than 1,000 people. In addition to wearing the health card, the application should also offer the option of identifying contact cases in a bar, a fitness studio or in the cinema.
The health pass? In what situations?
As a reminder: the health pass centralizes several documents related to Covid-19, e.g. B. Proof of a negative RT-PCR or an antigen test, a certificate of recovery from Covid-19 or even a certificate of vaccination. It is also important to specify that this hygiene pass will in no case be compulsory on a daily basis, but only in situations where traffic is more dangerous to the public’s health. For more information, do not hesitate to go directly to the page dedicated to the health pass.
Cédric O informs the Parisian that from May 29th, the health insurance company will allow the creation of a QR code for their vaccination certificate via their website. Once generated, this QR code can be used on paper, but also on smartphones.
Logically, if we can use the sanitary pass on our side, event professionals will have to use the TousAntiCovid Verif application to scan the QR codes. This application will be freely available in application catalogs, but some specific versions have also been developed, especially for airports.
Finally, Cédric O adds that a European health passport should be introduced from July 1, 2021. As the name suggests, this tool will make traveling within the European Union easier. We do not know the final name of this passport, but it will be legible and understandable for all Europeans.
