The Chinese brand Xiaomi today launched three new products to complete their range. The star figure of this market launch is the new Mi Smart Band 6, the connected bracelet from the Asian company. The latter arrives less than a year after the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5 (July 2020) and is presented as the logical continuation of the latter.
The first notable difference for this new bracelet is the size of its screen. Xiaomi announces 50% more display space than its predecessor. In terms of the technical characteristics of the latter, it is still a 1.56-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 326 ppi. A new screen to better read notifications daily or during physical activity.
New sports and better health surveillance
This is a very important point for Xiaomi in the development of its connected bracelet: the support of many physical activities. Mi Smart Band 6 users can choose their activities among the 30 offered by the brand (compared to 15 on the Mi Smart Band 5). The Beijing-based company also states that the bracelet is capable of automatically tracking the performance of 6 daily activities (running, cycling, walking, etc.) to make the use of those activities as natural as possible.
In terms of autonomy, Xiaomi announces 14 days of battery on its bracelet. For charging, the same magnetic charging method as the Mi Smart Band 5.
While it appeared on the very high quality Apple Watch Series 6, the blood oxygenation sensor (SpO2) is also present on the Mi Smart Band 6. Xiaomi is thus able to offer more precise monitoring of the blood heart rate as well as improved sleep tracking. The bracelet even offers a deep breathing function to help relax the user.
The Mi Smart Band 6 is available today for € 59.99.

A new projector from Xiaomi
Xiaomi took advantage of the release of its bracelet on Tuesday to introduce two new products, a projector and a clock radio. If the first is the sequel to the brand’s Smart Projector, the real newcomer to this announcement is the Mi Smart Clock.
When it comes to its projector, Xiaomi hasn’t reinvented what the brand already knew how to do. A high quality projector with Android TV and excellent image quality. The latest addition, the Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro, is therefore part of the continuity of these predecessors. It offers full HD picture quality with a variable projection size from 60 to 120 in order to “recreate a home theater atmosphere”, according to the brand. The projector also supports HDR10 to provide a high contrast ratio for the most “immersive” viewing.
Another important element for this projector is the sound. The latter was not neglected by Xiaomi, which offers a 10 W speaker with two tweeters and two woofers. The projector supports DTS-HD and Dolby Audio to provide “superior audio quality from any audio source”. Xiaomi also states that the projector can be used as a speaker that is connected via bluetooth.
The Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro is therefore in a market that is still being neglected by the major smartphone brands, and continues the development of the Asian brand beyond the classic range of phones, watches and tablets. With Netflix and the integrated Google Assistant, Xiaomi’s new product aims to find a place in this booming market.
The Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro is available now for € 999.99.

The Mi Smart Clock integrates Google Assistant, which makes it the control center in a networked home.
