A few months ago, Asobo Studio and Microsoft released a specific flight simulator on PC. A title of a wealth (both in substance and in form) quite extraordinary, with an ultra-realistic reproduction of many environments and flight sensations that are more exciting than ever. A flight simulator that was also named Game of the Year at the most recent Pegasus ceremony in 2021.
A flight simulator over 50% lighter!
Obviously, Flight Simulator requires a configuration worthy of the name in order to run (correctly). In addition, the game also weighs its weight, as the latter required no less than 170 GB of storage space until recently. In fact, update 22.214.171.124 recently released by Asobo Studio enabled the game to benefit from an impressive diet.
With the update, Flight Simulator increases as if by magic from 170 GB to “only” 83 GB – an impressive optimization that will allow some players to relieve their hard drive or SSD a little. Of course, this optimization is also great news … for Xbox gamers.
In fact, if Flight Simulator is still exclusive to Windows today, the game is preparing to land on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The start of the game is still planned for this summer and it will obviously be important that Microsoft can offer a game that does not devour half the SSD of the small Xbox Series S … In this context, it will be interesting to see How the little Xbox will manage to run this flight simulator (especially when compared to the Xbox Series X), the game was signed by Asobo Studio exclusively for the News Xbox (understand it won’t be playable on Xbox One).
Note that Jörg Neumann, the head of this flight simulator, recently refused to announce a release date for the Xbox version of the game during a question-and-answer session. Early summer (and we don’t believe it at all)) or at the beginning of the school year.
