Several manufacturers have been using foldable smartphones for several years. It all started when Royole presented its FlexPai at CES 2019. After that, Samsung quickly pulled out its Galaxy Fold, closely followed by Motorola and Huawei.
Either way, Samsung, which is already the leader in the smartphone market, has quickly become one of the foldable smartphones. To maintain this position, Samsung continues to innovate in this direction.
After Samsung introduced two folds and two flips, Samsung plans to present a third for both ranges this summer. But that’s not all, it seems that the Korean company is about to launch a foldable tablet. In fact, several pieces of information agree that Samsung is currently working on a two-hinge device that would allow it to bend in three.
A foldable tablet?
It is GizmoChina, who seems particularly sure of its sources, that was the first to announce that it could be a real tablet. Nevertheless, according to the American media, this tablet should see the light of day in the first quarter of 2022.
Other media outlets like LetsGoDigital have also found some evidence on this hybrid device. LetsGoDigital even managed to model what the Galaxy Z Fold Tab should look like. The US site has discovered names like “Galaxy Z Roll” or “Galaxy Z Slide” filed by Samsung with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
According to projections by LetsGoDigital, this device will have a large central screen as well as two folding side panels to protect the main screen and take up less space.
Other rumors believe that the size of this product should allow Samsung to offer its S Pen compatibility. Currently, none of this information has been confirmed by the company, these are just rumors and should be treated with caution.
