VivaTech is not the first success on this point. The Paris Salon has already managed to invite Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Satya Nadella (Google), Justin Trudeau (Canadian Prime Minister) and Jack Ma (Alibaba), all of whom have already spoken at the event. According to its own statements, VivaTech is the largest European meeting place for startups and technologies.

The return of activity

In 2021, the edition will be organized in a context conducive to the return of the activity. Fundraising is enormous in Europe. We discussed the subject of Trade Republic, which raised $ 900 million in Germany two weeks ago, or the largest financing operation by French tech with ContentSquare and $ 500 million.

“We bring the best innovation players together in order to initiate positive changes in companies and for society. We act as a global catalyst for digital transformation and startup growth, ”writes VivaTech in a statement. In 2019, during the last physical meeting at Paris Expo, 120,000 visitors walked the aisles.

Among the other guests of this year’s edition we find Microsoft President Brad Smith, EU Commissioner Thierry Breton and also IBM boss Arvind Krishna. Conferences are organized on certain topics. Back Market French CEO Thibaud Hug de Larauze is invited to speak about technology and environmental protection.
