GTA VI could take place in Rio de Janeiro

Almost 10 years after the release of GTA V, fans of the video game franchise can no longer expect the sixth part. Despite the impatience of gamers, it wasn’t until a few years ago that Rockstar Games would release the most anticipated game in history. If some were counting on 2023 to celebrate 10 years of GTA V, Jason Schreier, a journalist at Bloomberg, believes the game will be released well after that date.

In the meantime, GTA V continues to bring millions of players together, especially GTA RP, which has been ubiquitous on Twitch for the past few weeks. For some, however, the impatience is too much, so any information is taken seriously.

GTA VI in the heart of the favelas …

In the past few weeks, rumors have sparked a return to Vice City, Miami, but new elements are already stifling that gossip. On Reddit, users have started sharing a map that pretends to be GTA VIs. If we look at this map, we find that it looks strangely like a city, not in the United States, but in South America: Rio de Janeiro.

For the first time in GTA history, the characters are expected to leave the United States for South America, specifically Brazil! At the moment these are only guesses, as usual Rockstar is particularly silent on this. However, we know that the teams speak of “Project Americas” internally.

The annual (virtual) event specializing in video games will open its doors on June 15, E3 2021. Hopefully, Rockstar Games will take this opportunity to reveal a little more information about the long-awaited GTA VI. However, we can always count on Nintendo to animate the event. In April, Doug Bowser, the president of Nintendo of America, started announcing a fun and engaging E3 with allusions to E3 2021.
