The opening keynote of WWDC 2021 will take place on Monday, June 7th, live on Presse-citron. In program ? The new versions of Apple OS, with iOS 15, macOS 12, but also the novelties of tvOS, watchOS 8 and maybe some surprises.

The Apple Wordwide Developers Conference will take place June 7-11, 2021. If you’re on this page, you’ll want to watch the introductory keynote live. There will be no physical event this year either, so we are once again entitled to an Apple-style video blockbuster.

How can you follow WWDC 2021 live?

Apple will therefore offer a keynote in video format (and thus delayed) as usual. If you are comfortable with English, this is the best way to get all the news. Apple has its own page on its website, but the easiest way to access the video is to watch it on YouTube below.

If you prefer French, the Presse-citron team will be mobilized and once again offer you a live text under the video. Kick-off at 7:00 p.m.!

iOS 15, macOS 12, iPadOS 15: Star of WWDC 2021

The big star of this WWDC 2021 will inevitably be iOS 15. The last version of the operating system for the iPhone is expected at the turn, after an iOS 14, which brought many innovations. As for the iPad, iPadOS 15 may come as a surprise, the recent integration of an M1 chip into the iPad Pro certainly paves the way for an operating system closer to macOS.

Like every year, tonight we should discover the new version of macOS, unless the name has been leaked for once before the conference, rumors conjure up a macOS Monterey or Skyline. As for iPadOS, we can discover the advances in the management of M1 chips. We’re also waiting to see what Apple has in store for watchOS 8 and tvOS. In any case, we will have all the answers live in this WWDC.

AR glasses, MacBook Pro M1X, AirPods 3: one more thing (s)?

While the new OS is sure to be introduced, the hardware innovations remain uncertain. A new version of the M1 chip (M1X, M2?) Could also be presented parallel to the new MacBook Pro. Just a few weeks after the new iMacs are released, a new, more powerful chip can make sense. Will Apple take the opportunity to launch a black iMac Pro under the M1X? Nothing is less certain.

Another longstanding rumor conjures the arrival of AirPods 3. The latter would have a design that comes very close to the AirPods Pro without the noise reduction.

The real surprise of the evening could be the presentation of Apple’s augmented reality glasses, or at least their operating system. The images Apple picked for communication around WWDC seem to hint at this.

In order not to miss any Apple announcements, we will meet tonight at 7 p.m. to follow the keynote of WWDC 2021 live on Presse-citron.
