With iOS 15, Apple will deter iPhone thieves

Last night in Cupertino, Apple hosted its annual developer event: WWDC 2021. This year, Apple didn’t roll its thumbs, so many announcements were made during this keynote. Regardless of whether it is about iOS 15, iPadOS 15 or even macOS Monterey and many more.

The most important part of this keynote was about iOS 15, we have listed 7 new features for you that will change your iPhone from the start when the update is available in the final version. Obviously, the Cupertino company presented a lot more than 7 novelties. One of these is not included in our summary, but remains particularly important as it is about safety.

Find your iPhone even when it’s turned off

If you lose your iPhone today, use the Find My application to find it. It still has to be on. From now on you don’t need to worry about this detail anymore. Even if someone tries to delete content from the iPhone or turn it off so that it can no longer be tracked, the device will display your information on the Hello screen and let the thief know that this device can be tracked by its real owner.

At the moment, knowing how it works is complicated, does the application manage to locate the iPhone’s last location, or if some kind of Bluetooth night light stays on to locate the smartphone, Apple’s press release does not allow any further information.

The Cupertino-based company has also made good progress in finding lost AirPods. With the “Locate” application, it is now possible to find two AirPods precisely, even if they are separated. In any case, iOS 15 is packed with new features, each more useful than the previous ones, so your iPhone should completely change in the fall. Apple also brought a lot of new things to iPadOS with iPadOS 15.
